Draw an animation or pick a ready-made effect, choose what sets it off in the game, and copy the JavaScript into SimHub. Made for 8×8 panels like the Flag Dash, and works with any size.
Rough estimate at 20 mA per colour channel. The Flag Dash limits itself to 350 mA, so anything above that just runs dimmer.
Pick a moment to see what the whole profile shows then, or flip the boxes one at a time. The preview reads them the same way SimHub would.
Need a panel to run these on? The Flag Dash Compact is an 8×8 flag and gear panel made for SimHub. One USB cable, tested before it ships.
Click one to edit it. When two show at the same time, the one higher in this list wins. Every effect here goes into the downloaded profile.
Click or drag to paint. The checker square is see-through: effects underneath show there. Black blocks what's underneath.
Small fits 2 characters on an 8×8, Big fits 1. Uses the colour you've picked. "Make it scroll" replaces your frames; Undo brings them back.
Shift-light tip: start around 70% so the bar only moves near the top of the rev range, and flash at your shift point.
For "game not running" screensavers, keep brightness low. It can sit there for hours.
Property names follow SimHub's standard game data. If one doesn't react in your game, pick the right name from SimHub's property list and use "Other property". Heads up for Assetto Corsa: there, SimHub's "Pit limiter on" actually reports being in the pit lane, so the "Pit limiter forgotten" preset can't tell the two apart on that game.
These use SimHub's own gear and flag items, so they go in the downloaded profile as normal SimHub items you can change later in SimHub.
On iRacing that means on track, so they go dark in the garage and in replays. On other games it means not paused.
In SimHub's editor each effect shows up as a custom conditional group with your effect's name on it. Drawn effects become SimHub's own hand-drawn animation, inside a brightness group, so you can keep changing them in SimHub. Items lower in SimHub's list draw on top, which is why your top effect is at the bottom there.
This tool is free and staying that way. If it saved you some time, you can chip in here.
Your work is kept in this browser on its own. Save a project file if you want a copy you can open on another computer or send to someone. A project file opens here, not in SimHub.
